16 to 19 Tuition Fund
In order to support the students studying Level 3 courses who have not yet achieved a grade 4 or better in their GCSE Mathematics
or English we will use the 16 to 19 tuition fund to support with:
- Provision
of small group (not exceeding five students) or one–to-one tuition in the build
up to the November exam series.
- Ongoing
provision beyond the November exam series for students continuing the study of Level
2 Mathematics and English alongside their Level 3 courses.
- Where
students without Mathematics or English at Level 2 are identified to be
struggling in their Level 3 courses additional tuition may be sought in those
subjects in the form of one-to-one or small group provision.
- Additional
staff member employed, increasing the capacity of academic support for Level 3
learners, partly funded by the tuition fund to guarantee the provision of
one-to-one or small group support for either Level 2 or Level 3 studies for
these students as required.
- Students
selected as eligible to receive this support are those that do not have Level 2
Mathematics or English but are studying a Level 3 course.
