COMMUNICATION PROTOCOLS

COMMUNICATION PROTOCOLS - WOODKIRK ACADEMY

Woodkirk Academy staff are committed to providing a high quality education to students. As part of this, communication with parents is very important to us and we always strive to ensure that we communicate well with parents.

When contacting the academy, please consider the attached communication protocols. Please also note that school staff are not always available should a parent attend school without a pre-arranged appointment. Whilst there are concerns parents would like addressing immediately which are unforeseen, please always make an appointment to meet with a member of staff before attending unexpectedly. It can be extremely frustrating for parents if they are left waiting for a member of staff who is unavailable or unreachable. Please bear in mind that reception staff, who are the first point of contact, cannot guarantee that a member of staff will be available as they do not have access to staff diaries.

If your contact with the academy is in relation to the raising of a formal complaint, please see the Complaints Policy for details of expected timescales, which differ from those shown in the communication protocols.
