"They laid down their lives so that we may live ours in freedom - and their sacrifices must never be forgotten!"
Those were the thoughts on every mind in Morley Methodist church as the bugle sounded.
On Friday 1 July, ten students from Woodkirk witnessed a moving and emotional service at Morley's Methodist Church. Two of the students, Adam and Alex, delivered two readings. Following the service, the Mayor led a procession to Scatchard Park in Morley where wreaths were laid at the War Memorial to commemorate those who had fallen exactly 100 years ago to the day.
